Waiting at the Door
I can’t explain so deep inside
The very fabric of my soul
Only a heart that grieves such loss
Can ever truly understand
It’s like you’re waiting at the door
Until a loved one comes back home
You feel a longing in your heart
When they appear the longing stops
But in a loss that never ends
You’re always standing at that door
You feel the longing in the breeze
So incomplete and never filled
I cannot find the words to say
Just what it’s like to want forever
Never seeing them again
Just always waiting at the door

I went to school with Sandra since Jr. High. She was always a light to everyone's bad days. She had a smile that would brighten everyone's day. I have not seen her since high school but I'm certain she was the same type of person that she was then. May God be with you and comfort you at this time.
I haven't seen Sandra in 9 or 10 years, but it broke my heart to hear she had passed away. Not for her, because she is in a much better place, but for everyone who is left here without her. Sandra was someone that I looked at as an example of what a Christian should be. She was one of the kindest and sweetest people I ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with Fred and their children.
So Long For Now
You look so peaceful lying there
With your hands folded upon your chest.
You look like you are sleeping
But you are at eternal rest.
So Long For Now.
Not a hair out of place,
Your make-up nicely done,
A beautiful smile upon your lips -
For now you are with JESUS.
When someone special passes on
It does not mean they are gone,
Though they are no longer with us
Their memory still lives on.
It hurts so much to lose a friend -
Especially one that is trustworthy and kind.
SANDRA, you were that special friend,
A rare and special find.
SANDRA, you will always be with me
In spirit and in mind.
You will always have a special place in my heart
Forever until the end of time.
SANDRA, I will not say "Good-bye".
This is not the end.
So I will just say, "So long..."
Until we meet again.

My Old Friend
Although I only saw Sandra a few times since she moved to Ohio, I still feel her loss and I send my thoughts and prayers to her family.
She and I walked to and from school everyday in elementary school. Lots of times in the afternoons we would just stand and talk, talk, talk..
Even now when I think about her I see that little girl with her big smile saying see ya tomorrow!
As adults we lost touch a bit, I still loved her so because of how close we used to be. I know how she was as an adult because of what I learned of her as children. I know she was a good daughter because she had wonderful parents. She was a good sister because she had 3 brothers who would take up for her and stand up for her. (she told Keith on me once before we became friends...he had a "talk with me"...I wonder if he remembers that!) Sandra and I got a real kick out of that one for years!!
I know she was a wonderful loving parent, because that is what she was taught. A loving wife because she would pick a worthy man. I know she loved her family more than words could say because she was put on this earth to make a difference in our lives. I will always love and remember that little girl as she was to me, and you will love and remember her for what she was to you, daughter, sister, wife and mother. I know she left her mark on each of her children and will look down on them for their whole lives. To all of us she was a testiment to the Lord, her love for Him was deep and true and knowing her brought all of us a little closer to Him. May God Bless each and everyone of you. May it give you peace and comfort to know you will all be together again soon, no sickness or pain, just love and light.
